Club to grant $2,000 to journalists, advocates

College journalists, professionals and journalism supporters are eligible to apply for Woman’s Press Club Indiana’s annual scholarship and awards program.

The club’s Education Fund offers the Hortense Myers Scholarship, the Louise Eleanor Ross Kleinhenz Scholarship and the Julie and Gene Slaymaker Public Service to Journalism Award, presenting checks and certificates to each recipient at the group’s annual awards banquet in the spring.

Deadline to apply for any of the awards is April 6. Application information is below as well as on the WPCI Scholarships and Grants page.

The Education Fund is supported through donations as well as funds raised during the club’s annual auction in November.
