Seven entrants in the Woman’s Press Club of Indiana’s annual communications contest were honored at the National Federation of Press Women’s conference in Golden, Colorado, Sept. 11-13.

The entrants had won first-place awards in the WPCI contest earlier this year, and their entries competed with others from around the country. WPCI is an affiliate of NFPW.

Current WPCI president Becky Killian, vice president Viv Sade and member Natalie Hoefer attended the conference. Sade was WPCI’s Communicator of Achievement, competing with top communicators from other affiliates. Donna Bryson of Colorado won the national award.

“The Colorado ladies put on a fabulous conference,” said Sade, “with lots of great speakers and workshops. We fell in love with Golden, too.”

Other WPCI honorees included:

Emily Bontrager, third place, collegiate writing
