Professional and college-level communicators in Indiana are invited to enter the annual National Federation of Press Women communications contest to showcase their best work of 2025.
This year, WPCI is not conducting its own communications contest. Previously, entrants vied for awards in the affiliate contest and their first-place winning work automatically competed in the NFPW contest. The WPCI board decided this fall to suspend the affiliate contest and direct members and others to compete directly in the at-large division of the NFPW contest.
“We hope entrants will find this process seamless,” said WPCI President Becky Killian. “We expect our members and other professionals in the state will continue to earn kudos in this contest as they have every year. We look forward to celebrating their success in the contest.”
Most of the guidelines remain the same.
- Set up an account on the NFPW contest website, where you’ll upload your entries.
- Fees are $30 per entry for affiliate members (i.e., WPCI members), $40 for non-members and $15 for college students. (College students compete in their own categories.)
- Deadline is Jan. 21. NFPW will continue to accept entries Jan. 22-Feb. 18 with an additional $25 late fee.
- All contest categories are on the NFPW website, as are instructions for uploading your entries.
NFPW will announce results in the spring and will celebrate winners at the annual conference Sept. 24-26 in Maryland.
