Four win national first-place honors

Four WPCI members won first place awards in the 2021 National Federation of Press Women communications contest. The awards were announced via a Zoom ceremony June 12.

Members had won first place in the WPCI contest earlier this year, and their work went on to compete with entries from other NFPW affiliates around the country.  

Winners are:
Beth Edwards, first place, green/environmental writing.
Jo Ellen Myers Sharp, first place, publication edited by entrant; third place, personal newsletter.
Jessica Shrout, first place, web copy; first place, public relations campaign; second place, newsletter for nonprofit; honorable mention, for-profit newsletter; honorable mention, specialty articles, business.
Eunice Trotter, first place, fiction for adult readers, novella.

Also, Vivian Sade won second place, personal website; third place, communications campaigns; and honorable mention, personal blog.
